At Cannon Fitness and Performance, our primary goal is your safety and longevity of athletic performance. We want to do all that we can to help and support you so that you continue to move well with time.

Reduce Pain During and After Lifting

As part of our workout programming, we take steps to reduce pain during and after lifting. To minimize pain during lifting, we ensure that you’re properly warmed up. We also take the time to teach you how to lift with proper form. At Cannon, we build strength through slow and controlled movements. We don’t rely on kipping or momentum to carry you through a movement. We also take the time to work on flexibility so that you can stretch and move comfortably. There will be a mix of days where you might be more sore and uncomfortable. But not to the extreme that coming back to work out the following day is impossible.

Lifting Progression

Another way that we help you build strength and continue making improvements is through our lifting progression. We take a monthly approach with our programming that follows a build-up where the workouts’ focus changes over time. While strength is a priority, it is not our only focal point. Our workouts progressively build the following skills:

  • Mobility
  • Stability
  • Strength
  • Technique


Consistency leads to results, but it also goes beyond the time you spend in the gym. We encourage consistency in lifting with proper form, sticking to a regular workout schedule, staying on top of nutrition, and getting quality sleep each night. We’re here to support you in any way you can to stay consistent with these performance variables.
